Using renewable energy and energy efficiency first strategy, Kaposvár is overhauling its buildings and transport sectors. The city’s public and private transport vehicles are electrified and powered by local biogas and district heating CHP. Its building stock is equipped with PV plants, LEDs and intelligent lampposts to decrease costs, consumption and GHG emissions.
